[00:00:00] Speaker A: I'm Lila Rhee. [00:00:01] Speaker B: And I'm Nick B. [00:00:02] Speaker A: Listen, we're just two single girls from the city of roses discussing all things love, lust, and perception. [00:00:08] Speaker B: And roses are a symbol of all things beautiful about love. [00:00:11] Speaker A: But as you know, love can get a little dirty, so we're here to talk about it. [00:00:15] Speaker B: Dirty Roses podcast starts now. [00:00:18] Speaker A: Hey, I'm Lila Ree. [00:00:19] Speaker B: And I'm Nick B. [00:00:20] Speaker A: And welcome to Dirty Roses Podcast. I don't want to say I'm excited, because I've said I'm excited for about six seasons now, five seasons. [00:00:28] Speaker B: I mean, if that's how you feel, though. [00:00:29] Speaker A: I am excited, though. I'm excited because we got somebody super dope, right? Super dope. We're gonna use that word all day. Dope, dope, dope, dope, dope. And as you guys know, we normally start the story, but there's no story needed for this episode because it's just my guy. He's like a story in himself. Like, I was introduced to him through his clothing brand, like, just various events and things, because I, you know, me, I love my local clothing brands. As y' all can see, we spread rocking it today, and I try to tap in with everybody, but I think we kind of. He. He took a disappearance for a little bit, and we're gonna talk about that. But we reconnected recently at an event, and I was like, yo, we gotta get you on the podcast, and we gotta get your clothes out there. And, you know, I want to be. I wanna be a brand ambassador. You know what I'm saying? So we reconnected. But my guy Reggie, I mean, originally from Wisconsin, I don't like when we say Oregon, everybody be like, there's black people in Oregon. [00:01:22] Speaker B: And then when you said Wisconsin, I was like, there's. [00:01:25] Speaker A: And you gotta say it like, t pain, Wisconsin. Find you in Wisconsin. And when I asked for a bio, he was like, I've got two kids, I'm single, and I'm looking for love. No, I'm just joking. He likes long walks in the park. He wants to dress you in chocolate dope lingerie. You know what I'm saying? But we do. We have the man, the myth, the legend, Reggie. Reginald Reg, my guy, chocolate dope. How are you? [00:01:51] Speaker C: I'm good. I'm good. What's up, Whitney? How y' all feeling? [00:01:54] Speaker A: Yes, we are so excited. [00:01:55] Speaker B: Really happy to have you here. [00:01:57] Speaker C: I'm happy to be here. This is a beautiful situation. [00:02:00] Speaker B: Well, we. Lee kind of told me just a little bit. She kind of opened us up. A little. But tell us your story. How did you come from Wisconsin and make your way here to Oregon. [00:02:11] Speaker C: Off the rip? Rest in peace to my boy Johnny Ratched. He was out here a long time ago in the rap. In the rap game. So I've been in some trouble a little bit. You feel me? And when I got out of prison, he was like, come down here and see what's up. I'm like, portland, Come on, bro. [00:02:29] Speaker A: He's like the Wisconsin man saying, Portland. That's crazy. [00:02:32] Speaker C: Right, right, right. Cause I ain't been out there, you know, It's Midwest. So when you see what's up, though. But I'm like, let me come out here and see what's happening. He's like, they got the best weed. I don't smoke weed. But you know. Okay, Right, right, right. [00:02:43] Speaker B: I mean, but if you did, it's legal, right? [00:02:45] Speaker C: Right, right. But it was legal. But he kept saying, it's the best weed. Everybody love it. I saw. Let me come out here and see what's going on. And I came out, you know, it was dope. You know what I'm saying? But as far as all that, when I seen. Yeah, that. You know what I'm saying? [00:03:02] Speaker A: Show me pictures. [00:03:02] Speaker C: Shout out. Yeah, that. When I seen. He showed me, you know, all the pictures, and it was, you know, saying, asian, white, black. And I'm like, bro, this is a. They own. Own already. Like, you know what I'm saying? It's part of the city, right? And how they get down. I was like, dang. So now I thought about it for a minute. So a lot of people don't know this. I got with Johnny. Johnny Ratchet's clothing line first. [00:03:23] Speaker A: Okay. And what was his clothing line? [00:03:27] Speaker C: I can't even think of it now. So long ago. Oh, man. I can't think of it right now. [00:03:31] Speaker A: It's all good, right? [00:03:32] Speaker C: But you gonna find it. You'll find it. Okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I got. With his little line first, okay? And then. [00:03:39] Speaker B: I got folks trying to. [00:03:41] Speaker A: Buy shirts, making sales right now. [00:03:44] Speaker B: Money never stops. [00:03:45] Speaker A: That's what happens when you're an entrepreneur. [00:03:48] Speaker C: Let me turn this phone off, because I know he gonna start going off as soon as we get on. So basically with him, I got in some trouble again. [00:03:59] Speaker A: Lord have mercy. Well, you know, with a name like Johnny Rashi. [00:04:04] Speaker C: I ends up getting some trouble. And then my girl at the time, my ex, was like, you should do your own clothing line, okay? And I was just like, my guy gonna be mad. You know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying? Cause I'm part of his. I had the money and all that. And then, I don't know, something happened between, like, make a long story short, I want to do mine. So I did RDD Collection first. [00:04:27] Speaker B: What's it called? [00:04:27] Speaker C: RDD Collection is my. It's my nickname. Roll the dice. [00:04:31] Speaker B: Okay. [00:04:31] Speaker C: All right. I'll show y' all. I had the big old chain. [00:04:35] Speaker B: I just learned to play craps. I just learned. [00:04:38] Speaker A: You just like. You know, you just like doing this with your hands. You just like doing this with your hands. You know what I'm saying? [00:04:42] Speaker C: Nasty. [00:04:43] Speaker A: Listen, Dirty roses. [00:04:45] Speaker C: So, so anyway. So anyway, yeah. So like I said, I did that first, and I was in the rap game. [00:04:51] Speaker B: Okay. [00:04:51] Speaker C: So that's where they all started from. And I felt like I was just a rapper with a. It's really just merch. You feel me? [00:04:58] Speaker A: Right? [00:04:59] Speaker C: It ain't really. No. It ain't really no clothing line. And I. And like I said, we really didn't know how to. Who was I mimicking? Who was I trying to see what it was? [00:05:06] Speaker A: You just still figuring yourself out. [00:05:07] Speaker C: Yeah, really. You know what I'm saying? Really was just on the rap game still. And once we came up with a situation after that, which we'll talk about later, whatever. But I'm just like, we gotta do something else. [00:05:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:19] Speaker C: And this chick was in the chocolate. Like, real chocolate, like cacao. Oh. [00:05:24] Speaker A: I was like, please describe. Because was it like. It's Portland. So I'm like, is it a white girl that just like black men, or is this cold for something? [00:05:32] Speaker C: No, no, no. This is Patricia. [00:05:34] Speaker B: She got real happy around the hol. [00:05:37] Speaker A: Willy Wonka type stuff, you know what I'm saying? [00:05:40] Speaker C: She want that real chocolate, you feel me? But. But, nah, she was in the cacao. [00:05:46] Speaker B: Okay, okay. [00:05:47] Speaker C: And I was just like, okay, whatever. You know what I'm saying? And. But she was. You know, she smoked Halloween, but was just on the cacao about how I help you this and that. And I'm like, whatever. So then she started naming chocolates, and she hit chocolate dope. And. And I said, that's it. And then she like, oh. And it kept going. I'm like, no, no, no, Back up. I'm like, that's it. [00:06:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:07] Speaker C: And that's how chocolate dope came. [00:06:09] Speaker A: Oh, man. Does she get. [00:06:11] Speaker B: All right. Is she getting royalties? [00:06:14] Speaker A: Or is it like, once y' all broke up, it was a done deal? Like, we appreciate you. You have done your job. [00:06:19] Speaker B: Taking the cacao with me. [00:06:21] Speaker C: She had fell about. She cooled over here. But nah, we're not. I put the work in. You feel me? Listen, this is what it is. [00:06:28] Speaker A: So. Okay. So you mentioned a couple times that you've been in trouble. If you care, Sharon. Like. [00:06:35] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying. Dope cases, weed cases, you know what I'm saying? Battery cases. I've been to prison three times. [00:06:41] Speaker A: Holy cow. [00:06:41] Speaker C: But this is a long time ago. [00:06:42] Speaker A: Okay. You would change me in. [00:06:44] Speaker B: So let me also kind of piss you off a little bit. Some of the charges now behind weed specifically. [00:06:50] Speaker A: And yeah, yeah, that would make me mad. [00:06:54] Speaker C: So let me tell y' all about that real quick. That don't make no sense. So leaving here, y' all legal. You go up towards Idaho. Is Idaho, right? Yeah. So Idaho is illegal in this little neck. And then Montana's legal. So they sitting there trapped out, waiting on you. And there's no reason. I'm the most legal person. [00:07:18] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. At the borders. [00:07:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. [00:07:21] Speaker C: Like, this is next like 45 minutes, right? [00:07:23] Speaker A: Right. [00:07:23] Speaker C: They just sitting there. We pull up and it's like about. I say at least 10, 15 police got people pulled over. You know, we saying, lucky them than us. [00:07:32] Speaker A: They said, ain't no black people in Idaho. So as soon as y' all come across that state line, we know what you doing. [00:07:37] Speaker C: One lonely police sitting there. I'm like, why is he by himself over here? Cause he tracking right behind me. So I get over, shit, nigga, you. [00:07:47] Speaker A: Know, he said, we got an nrgga situation up in here. [00:07:51] Speaker C: No, no. [00:07:51] Speaker A: In fact, that's exactly what it was, right? [00:07:54] Speaker C: He is right behind me. You feel me? And then when I went over, he got behind me again and put the lights on. I'm like, okay. But I'm not tripping, though. Cause we don't smoke. Ain't nothing happening. [00:08:04] Speaker A: Right? [00:08:05] Speaker C: You feel me? [00:08:05] Speaker A: And there's no reason for you to check my car because I ain't doing nothing right. [00:08:11] Speaker B: Is it all he needed though, that. [00:08:13] Speaker A: Part in an Idaho? Because why. Why are you here over the 45 minute stretch, right? [00:08:19] Speaker B: We know what's going on. [00:08:21] Speaker A: So we were here like, he ain't got no reason to take you, but you still had stuff in your car like you should have been doing. He wrong. [00:08:28] Speaker B: Let us get you out of this. [00:08:30] Speaker C: And it's a rental. [00:08:32] Speaker A: I don't know what's in this car. What, sir. [00:08:34] Speaker B: What is he having those Florida tags, right? [00:08:39] Speaker C: So he. He run a bonus. It was like everything good you got, you know, saying insurance. I'm like, I got everything. I don't think I ain't that business this legal ever in my life. You feel me? [00:08:49] Speaker A: You know, something wrong with a black man got everything extra, extra legal when he's doing something wrong. You know what I'm saying? Like, I got 18 kilos in the back trunk, but I got all my. [00:08:58] Speaker C: Paperwork, all my paperwork. I'm legal, though. I'm legal, though. You feel me? So. So anyway, yeah, it was in the trunk, and this dude was like, okay, y' all good then? Everything's good. Okay. So boom, all of a sudden, he come back, knock on my window, get out the car. I'm like, for what? Oh, they don't get nothing. But he done took off. So I sat there, I'm like, I'm not getting out. Ain't no reason to get out, right? I know the rental went down. My man smoked cigarettes. We don't smoke weed, right? Know what I mean? So he made me get out and he's like, we going to bring the dogs? I'm like, I'm not consenting. No dogs or nothing. But regardless, you can bring the dogs. You ain't going. He's not going to smell nothing. You feel me? [00:09:37] Speaker A: Right? [00:09:38] Speaker C: So check game made the dog walk around, you know what I'm saying? Like three or four times, walk right past the trunk. Ain't nothing happening. They say something in German, he jump up and get in my car. [00:09:52] Speaker A: Oh, so there's a code. See, they need to have them little translator things so that whenever. Whenever you say something, it's gonna be like, sick, Em, Right? We know what you said, right? [00:10:03] Speaker C: So I know about this. I just don't know what he said. But I'm like. I'm like, you said something. You made him jump in the car. I said, because we don't smoke weed, bro, right? In a very long time. So I'm like, why would he be in my car? [00:10:14] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:15] Speaker C: I said, get your dog in my car, right? So regardless, he still. Oh, he hit. He hit something. I said, no, he didn't. So he comes out. I know where it's at. It's in the trunk. He's not in the car, right? [00:10:28] Speaker A: So he in the wrong spot all. [00:10:29] Speaker C: The time spot anyway. That's crazy. So with that being said, when he said it hit, not even check. It took them like 45 minutes before they even got to the trunk because. [00:10:39] Speaker A: They were busy, because they were trying to find something in the car. That's why. [00:10:47] Speaker C: You feel me? And after that, they went in there, boom, boom, me, my man's just like, wow, this is crazy. [00:10:53] Speaker A: That is. [00:10:53] Speaker C: Yeah. And they found. And of course they found it taking pictures, you know what I'm saying? It was like £10 on the front. You know what I mean? [00:11:01] Speaker B: Now, this situation happened before your clothing line. [00:11:03] Speaker C: Yes. Okay. This is what led to it. [00:11:05] Speaker B: Okay. [00:11:06] Speaker C: So, long story short, I beat the case. [00:11:09] Speaker B: Okay. [00:11:10] Speaker C: I got a. Oh, most definitely. [00:11:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:12] Speaker C: It's a legal search, right. I just seen the situation on Facebook. Me and my ex had seen this dude got caught with some. With some dope, some keys or something. [00:11:22] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:11:22] Speaker C: And they bought the dogs for no reason, right? And there was no reason for it, you know what I mean? He took it all the way to the Supreme Court and beat it. So now it's illegal to bring the dogs. [00:11:31] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:11:31] Speaker C: For no reason. [00:11:32] Speaker A: Just for traffic stop, right? [00:11:33] Speaker C: Y' all know what I did, right? I just clicked. He said I clicked and went over too fast. That's why he put me on. First of all, you were smashing. Going about a hundred behind me, right? [00:11:45] Speaker A: You feel me? [00:11:45] Speaker C: And I said, oh, wait a minute. Let me go and get over. [00:11:47] Speaker A: Right, right, right. [00:11:48] Speaker C: And I got over too fast. He said, that's why that's illegal. [00:11:51] Speaker A: Oh, so he was behind you before you did the. The illegal lane change or whatever it was? [00:11:58] Speaker B: So he was getting out of his way, right? [00:12:00] Speaker C: He in the middle, waiting. We pass him. And since I'm black and be black, he sees. Oh, yeah, we got to get them. You feel me? And this is right before Montana. So we. We done passed 15 people getting pulled over, of course, and then, boom, we right there. So then, bro, this story. [00:12:15] Speaker B: Stay out of Montana, Idaho. [00:12:17] Speaker A: That part. That part. [00:12:19] Speaker C: Wish you wouldn't have went that direction, but if I hadn't did that, life would have been different. [00:12:23] Speaker A: That's true. [00:12:24] Speaker B: I mean, obviously, all of our situations. [00:12:28] Speaker A: Put us where we are today, so. [00:12:29] Speaker B: We can't even be mad. [00:12:30] Speaker C: That's why I'm not. I'm not mad. Well, I'm not mad anyway. I beat the case. [00:12:33] Speaker A: That part. [00:12:34] Speaker C: 35, 000 later. Oh, you feel me? Oh, yeah. [00:12:37] Speaker A: You're out of your. [00:12:37] Speaker B: Out of pocket everything. [00:12:38] Speaker C: Yes. Me and my girl and all that. Yeah. [00:12:40] Speaker A: So even though. I was gonna say even though you beat it, they didn't have to pay for your lawyer fees or nothing like that. [00:12:44] Speaker C: Nah. Only thing I got back because I had three. I had 3,500 in my suitcase. They took that, but they had to get back, so imagine how I felt about that. [00:12:55] Speaker B: We ain't seen nothing. [00:12:55] Speaker A: My bad. Right? That part. Or you could have just take the money and just said, let me be done. I mean, they could have just gave. [00:13:00] Speaker C: It all back to me. And I've been happy about this. [00:13:02] Speaker A: They give you your drugs back? [00:13:03] Speaker C: Most definitely not. [00:13:04] Speaker B: Oh, man. [00:13:05] Speaker A: I'm like, hold on. I need all my stuff back. We can do this again next week. Right? [00:13:08] Speaker C: Right, Right. [00:13:09] Speaker B: Same time, same place. [00:13:11] Speaker C: You feel me? [00:13:12] Speaker A: Find me in another state. You know what I'm saying? [00:13:14] Speaker C: But, yeah, so. Yeah, but. And that's what led to chocolate doping, you know, the movement and all that. You feel me, Is how I got here. So. [00:13:20] Speaker A: Gotcha. So what has been like the outside of this, outside of, you know, getting in trouble, but what has been like, the biggest struggle as far as being an entrepreneur? And, like, kind of, how'd you overcome it? [00:13:31] Speaker C: I'm gonna say the biggest struggle was when I got hurt. It wasn't. I've been. I've been doing this. This is. Like I said, I ran a label. You know what I mean? [00:13:41] Speaker A: Right. [00:13:42] Speaker C: I was already selling clothes before, got a store real quick and went back to selling drugs, which was stupid, but you know what I'm saying? I did clothing. [00:13:50] Speaker A: It's like I figured out how to get out of getting in trouble. [00:13:52] Speaker C: Exactly. [00:13:52] Speaker A: So I'm gonna do it again and. [00:13:54] Speaker C: Then jump right back in once I. [00:13:55] Speaker A: Could do it again. [00:13:56] Speaker C: It just don't make no sense. Just the way the mind frame is just dumb, you know what I mean? Now that I look back at it, I'm like, man, I was tripping. You know what I mean? For real? For real. Cause I had situations like with the phones and everything. My partner said gave me a hole with Sprint and all that. [00:14:11] Speaker A: You like the Portland, Wisconsin version of I got the hookup? [00:14:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:14:16] Speaker B: Too much. [00:14:17] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. [00:14:18] Speaker B: But as an entrepreneur, would you say that you are more business minded or artistic? Because both companies or brands that you've mentioned have been art based. Either it be merch or it'd be in the music industry. Where do you think you sit? [00:14:33] Speaker C: Both, because. So let me. So I'll tell you why. When I really did the music game, I didn't start out as the rapper. I could rap. I got the artist, you feel me? So I did all the business work, me and my brother, you know what I'm saying? The business part of it. And then cats went to jail, went to prison, came in, you know, a lot of shit happened. And then I ended up to the end, missed out on the deal because of my brother. We gonna talk about that now? Cause at this point, I don't care. Cause this is a situation we kept quiet for a long time. [00:15:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:09] Speaker C: My brother messed up a deal that I got in Detroit. [00:15:12] Speaker A: Oh. [00:15:13] Speaker C: And I got hurt. So I'm in the hospital. Excuse me. During the situation. And he just thought he was just gonna cut me out. Which didn't make no sense. [00:15:22] Speaker B: Oh, so when you got hurt, did you fall down some stairs? [00:15:27] Speaker C: No, it's just a lot of alcohol and drugs over the years of partying. Okay. You know what I'm saying? And it was in my stomach. It's really an old man disease. [00:15:37] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So like you couldn't digest whatever you. [00:15:40] Speaker C: Were inting called Diverticulitis. [00:15:41] Speaker A: O, that's interesting. [00:15:43] Speaker B: See, I thought she was going to be like, yeah, I was out doing some I didn't need to do. I got stabbed and then I got shot at the same damn time I was waiting for one of them. [00:15:54] Speaker A: Is this what now? What is this? [00:15:56] Speaker C: Diverticulitis is when that I ate some. How I came about it was I ate some peanuts too many. And then all of a sudden it got caught up in there. Yeah. [00:16:07] Speaker A: Hold on. [00:16:07] Speaker B: Are you allergic? [00:16:08] Speaker A: Hold on, listen, cuz, look, that's in the back. Listen, we got to talk about all the things that you done did in your lifetime. I done did. And the peanuts took you out. [00:16:17] Speaker C: Took me completely out on God. [00:16:20] Speaker A: I. It'd always be the end of it. [00:16:21] Speaker C: You know, but, but, but no, but I'm not. But no, it's not the peanuts. It's just the wrong time now it's over with. Whatever you put in there too much. And peanuts is one of them. If I, if I ate a bunch of popcorn, it have been a rap. Cuz they get stuck up in there and pussed up and oh, and I'm. I'm riding around in the car like this like, what is going on? I'm talking about my shit hurts so bad. I don't know what it is. [00:16:42] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:16:43] Speaker C: And then finally I'm. It's crazy cause I'm in a whip and I'm just leaned over my guy like what is you doing? I'm like, bro, you just don't know. And then all of a sudden at the light, I just got the. Oh no, I gotta go to the hospital right now. [00:16:57] Speaker A: Oh wow. [00:16:58] Speaker C: And went there and it was real. They were like, oh, you're lucky you came right now. [00:17:02] Speaker B: So while you're. [00:17:03] Speaker C: Hold on, hold on. That's the first time though. Then. Now I gotta stop eating steaks and all that. I Eat steak on a regular. I'm not a really good eater. You gotta think this is, this is not easy. I came to Portland is a whole different lifestyle. [00:17:19] Speaker A: Right. It's supportive of that. Healthy eating. [00:17:21] Speaker C: Healthy eating like a mug here. You feel me? [00:17:24] Speaker A: They gonna get your veganism together. [00:17:26] Speaker C: A whole vegan over here. But then after, you know what I'm saying? So now I'm going back to trying to eat regular. [00:17:34] Speaker A: I'm thinking, so make me feel better. Yeah. [00:17:36] Speaker C: And then it hit me again. I'm on the toilet crying, you feel me? [00:17:42] Speaker A: Oh no. [00:17:43] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh yeah. It was like that. Like I was an emron act or something like on there just hugging the toilet and I don't know what to do. I don't know what's going on. I drank some muscle using working out and I drink some muscle stuff. And that went right to it and messed it all up. Cause it was already messing up. [00:17:57] Speaker B: That sounds painful. [00:17:58] Speaker C: Yeah. So this happened right as we going to get the deal. You feel me? [00:18:02] Speaker A: Gotcha. So you had to go to the hospital and then your brother, they said. [00:18:06] Speaker C: You gotta get surgery. It's a wrap. [00:18:08] Speaker A: Wow. [00:18:09] Speaker C: If you don't surgery, you gonna die. [00:18:10] Speaker A: Oh, wow. Oh, wow. So while you're in surgery. [00:18:14] Speaker C: So while I went to surgery, this is right. Well, no, I haven't seen the surgery yet. I went in there for that. [00:18:21] Speaker A: Okay. [00:18:22] Speaker C: And I gotta get cleaned up and everything. That's when we supposed to get the deal. [00:18:25] Speaker A: Okay. [00:18:26] Speaker C: And my brother tried to cut me out. And the dude was like, oh no, that's the one who got the deal. You can't come. You don't know this. You're thinking it's really just the rapper. [00:18:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:36] Speaker C: You know what I mean? And I hate that we, you know what I'm saying? Melody G, my partner and we still cool, you know what I'm saying? We the one started this. You know what I mean? And I hate to this day I feel bad. Cause like my brother did that and it was really you. Cause he had the last. He really had the last word. [00:18:51] Speaker A: Right. [00:18:51] Speaker C: But it just, you know what I mean? Cause my brother came through with a story that was out of control, but he was jealous of me, you know what I mean? [00:18:59] Speaker A: So it was you and your brother in the rapper. And your brother tried to go and finish the deal with the rapper and whoever you're doing the deal with while you were out. [00:19:06] Speaker C: I mean, we get phone calls, paid shows from this dude from. I forgot where it was. But like we never heard it. That's why I Knew it was right. It's real anyway, because people we're dealing with. [00:19:16] Speaker A: Right, right, right. [00:19:17] Speaker C: Warner Brothers came to see us. [00:19:18] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:19:19] Speaker C: I'm not my fault. We came to see them. [00:19:20] Speaker A: Okay. [00:19:21] Speaker C: He called me, said, come. Come to Detroit right now. He said, be here by tomorrow. [00:19:25] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:19:26] Speaker C: He said they don't want none of the rappers seeing Detroit. [00:19:28] Speaker A: Mm. [00:19:29] Speaker C: I'm like, damn. For real? He's not just come down here, but really, he's already setting up. Cause he rocked with me every time I go to Detroit, right? We go see him, right. I just watch him. You know what I'm saying? See what's going on. And he's like, man, n. Don't be coming to Detroit. [00:19:43] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm like, so are you and your brother are still. [00:19:45] Speaker C: No, we're not cool. [00:19:46] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Ever since. [00:19:48] Speaker C: Ever since. No, it ain't been. [00:19:51] Speaker B: Does he try to deny that he tried to cut you out? I mean, like, it's not a misunderstanding. [00:19:55] Speaker C: Some extra stuff that went on with him that he's delusional about. And so with me and the whole, you know, I'm not gonna get too deep into it, but it just don't make no sense. It ain't cool that it happened that way. But I had to bring that part out. Cause a lot of people don't know what happened. He was gone. [00:20:11] Speaker A: Right. [00:20:12] Speaker C: You feel me? Then I came out and should have went. But I'm like, you gotta think I had some dope rappers on the label. [00:20:18] Speaker A: Listen. [00:20:19] Speaker C: I mean, rest in peace, McBang. You know what I'm saying? Him. You know what I'm saying? 50, you know what I mean? Was Kennel. I'm talking about a down south Jadakiss. He was like a Gucci Jadakiss. [00:20:29] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:20:30] Speaker C: You know what I mean? So it was a. I had, like, probably about 14 people working for me. That wasn't, you know, the rap game. Everybody getting paid. [00:20:37] Speaker A: Right, right, right. For the most hustling. For real. And you got that big deal. [00:20:41] Speaker B: You don't do the label at all anymore. There's lots of talent in the city. [00:20:45] Speaker C: Yeah. But you gotta think I was really in it. In it for real. For real. And then once you see what. What this really is, it's. It's crazy. And then I got the rapping and it was going crazy. You know what I'm saying? We even opened up YG back home and went lit. And was lit. Lit. You feel me? [00:21:01] Speaker A: So, I mean, you keep talking about. [00:21:03] Speaker C: I do. [00:21:04] Speaker B: Would you do it again? [00:21:05] Speaker C: No. [00:21:06] Speaker A: Like, right now? Yeah, we on the same page, right? [00:21:10] Speaker C: I'm an old man. It's a rap. It's a rap. [00:21:13] Speaker A: Spaghetti, spaghetti, spaghetti. Jokes and jokes and. [00:21:18] Speaker B: But. So, no, you wouldn't get back on stage again. But is it still a passion that you ever write, or are you a freestyler? [00:21:25] Speaker C: No, no, no, I was not a freestyler. I was a writer. But I loved it. I mean, I come from this. Right. I'm originally from Long Island, New York. [00:21:34] Speaker A: Okay, wait a minute. So you say you're from. From Long island, but we have Wisconsin. So where did you. Where did you come out? Your mama's Kuchi. [00:21:43] Speaker C: All up. So I came out to my mama coochie in London, Washington State medical aid. Washington. [00:21:52] Speaker A: Okay. At the front door. And then. And then you went where? From there, that's. [00:21:57] Speaker C: To New York. [00:21:57] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. [00:21:59] Speaker C: I live with my stepfather, though, for a year. [00:22:01] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:02] Speaker C: In West Palm Beach, Florida, which some people gonna see that. Which is, you know, I'm saying shout out to my stepfather out there, which I thought was my real father, but he's the only father I know. You feel me? [00:22:11] Speaker B: You got a story, don't you? [00:22:12] Speaker A: Listen? [00:22:13] Speaker C: You know what I mean? Yeah, I do. I got a big story. [00:22:15] Speaker B: Favorite city you've lived in? [00:22:19] Speaker C: I love Dallas. Dallas is one of my favorite cities. [00:22:22] Speaker B: Dallas over Houston. [00:22:25] Speaker C: Yeah, because I was. I mean, I love both, but. But I got more people in Dallas. I was there, you know, some of my partner. From. My partner Coop. Coop deville. Shout out to Coop De Ville. Top Show Films. I was manager of Top Short Films too, at one point in time, after the Rap Game. [00:22:39] Speaker A: So now we did movies and everything else in film. [00:22:41] Speaker B: Like, we're ready to start your own studio. [00:22:43] Speaker C: We're doing Hood to Hood, though, you know what I'm saying at the time. So imagine me being sick. I can't get up. He calls and says, I know your problem is you need to be busy. You need your. And he's like, bro, get up, man. He says, I need you to do an interview. I'm like, well, who? He said, the real Rick Ross. Oh, I said, what? Imagine me laying, popping pills, trying to stay alive. You know what I'm saying? My shit hurting. He like, bro, my cousin got Rick Ross, man. I want you to do the interview. [00:23:12] Speaker A: Not Rick Ross the rapper, but the real Rick Ross. [00:23:15] Speaker C: He just got out of jail. [00:23:16] Speaker A: He owe me a hundred favors. [00:23:17] Speaker C: He owe me a hundred favors. [00:23:19] Speaker B: Okay, so I got a serious question for you now. With all of these endeavors and all the locations you've lived and all the businesses you Manage and people you work with. How do you sustain a relationship amongst all of your business? Like, is it hard to meet quality women to date and that they're not just kind of chasing after your lifestyle, but then something. [00:23:45] Speaker C: Okay, so the rap game is groupies. And, you know, you gotta go through that. [00:23:53] Speaker A: I said, I seem like he took full advantage of that situation. [00:23:56] Speaker B: I would, too, if I could. Like, come on over here. [00:23:58] Speaker A: I need some male. We need some dirty rose male groupies. [00:24:01] Speaker B: Trying to get some for a minute now. [00:24:04] Speaker A: Okay. We do some auditions. [00:24:09] Speaker C: A couple 16s. Y' all be together just like that. [00:24:12] Speaker B: I'm telling you, we did have an audition, couch interviews on a whole, what looked like a. [00:24:18] Speaker C: Anyway, so you saying, like, how can I deal? So it's not just that, really, because once you do all that, we messed up a lot of fans. That's how me and my man came up with it, right? And so when I came here, I wasn't planning on that. And then, of course, I ended up having a baby with a girl I didn't even know because, you know, man. You know, man, we. We're not that smart when it comes to the first time we. We hit it, right, with the. With the condom. And then we go Tupac right after. You know what I mean by. I say Tupac, right? The ball head, no hat. So what. So what happens is. [00:24:54] Speaker A: Yo, I've never heard that, like, hey, daddy, you want to go Tupac? You know what I'm saying? He gonna be like, we trying to shoot you. [00:25:04] Speaker B: Yeah, shoot at the club. [00:25:08] Speaker C: So, like, for some reason, we think when we hit with the. With the condom, right? Yeah, we think it sterilized the pussy of everything. So that means. [00:25:15] Speaker A: Wait, who thinks that? [00:25:17] Speaker C: No, men. Men. We do, because I'm gonna tell you why. That's what we do. Listen, though. Listen, though. Think about it. We take you home, we use the condom. We might use the condom one more time after that. We raw, daddy. [00:25:30] Speaker A: So you think that the. [00:25:31] Speaker B: The latex. [00:25:32] Speaker A: The latex sterile. [00:25:34] Speaker C: We must. [00:25:35] Speaker B: Because why would we sterilizes everything. [00:25:39] Speaker C: It just stops it all. [00:25:40] Speaker B: It's a block. [00:25:41] Speaker C: It blocks the whole. [00:25:43] Speaker A: You know, like ants, like, have a memory pattern. And like, so, like, if there's a blockage right there, they never go that way again. It's like his semen was like, oh, we know there's something there. We're just going to retreat back there once. It was one time ago. [00:25:55] Speaker B: So we don't do that way, right? We gonna go to the right. [00:25:58] Speaker C: Like, why would we. [00:25:58] Speaker B: Like, what the Fuck, I have never. [00:26:02] Speaker A: But, like, parents teach sex ed at home, please. Because they're not teaching it in school. [00:26:07] Speaker C: They not. And men, y' all know I ain't lying, because you know what I'm saying? One time. [00:26:12] Speaker A: Follow up on this account. [00:26:13] Speaker C: One time. I done did it one time. And then, you know, the second time, she just slide over. [00:26:18] Speaker B: She pregnant. [00:26:19] Speaker A: See, I felt like it was more like, you do the condom, because you want to see if they whip the condom. Like, you know, like, oh, yeah, you. [00:26:26] Speaker B: Did the right thing. [00:26:26] Speaker A: Because then, right? You did the right thing. And then you're like, okay, she's safe because she was with it. She trying to be safe, too. Now we're good, right? You know? Now we're good. [00:26:34] Speaker C: That is some good logic. [00:26:35] Speaker A: But then he's like, no, but that's not it. [00:26:36] Speaker C: That ain't it. Because I know women who just play the role, and they nasty than a mug, too. [00:26:42] Speaker B: Well. And see, now I also understand, like, if you're hooking up with someone and it's like the first time, too, and you bring that condom the first time, but you only brought one. And if you're trying to go back, I could see how that happens. You know what I mean? Like. [00:26:57] Speaker A: So logical. And he's like, nah, we just thought it sterilized. [00:27:02] Speaker B: In the car. I ain't gonna get it, though. [00:27:03] Speaker C: Hey, I done had it. I done had the kind in my pocket and didn't even use it. That's the problem with us, with men. We don't be thinking we want to go. Especially. Especially we, like when we meet, and you seem like you're the perfect girl. Everything. The house smell good, all your pussy. It got to be the best. It got to be. [00:27:20] Speaker A: You can bathroom clean, you can cook. You must keep your coochie clean. [00:27:23] Speaker C: You must keep your coochie clean. You got to. [00:27:25] Speaker B: You don't be letting nobody have no babies off of this. [00:27:27] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? No babies. No babies or nothing. No diseases. You feel me? But, like, we just don't. We ain't that smart when it come to that. [00:27:34] Speaker A: Oh, man. [00:27:34] Speaker C: So, yeah, I didn't know my girl, and boom, bing, just like that. And next year, I was in Dallas. [00:27:39] Speaker A: That was literally how it happened to me. [00:27:40] Speaker C: Yeah. Boom, bing, just like that. Come back from Dallas, she was like, what'd she say? She said she was on a. On her period. And then she said she got it. And then when I came back, she was like. She said, yeah, exactly. You know what I'm talking about? She was Spotting. [00:27:56] Speaker B: I've been there. [00:27:57] Speaker C: And then next thing you know, she pregnant. She said, I'm pregnant. She threw up every day. And then guess what came back. My dad would take a lottas. Oh, so this is during chocolate, dope and all this when everything was starting to get ready to get busy. We both skinny as crackheads. She's throwing up every. Not just every day. She's throwing about six times a day. [00:28:19] Speaker A: Dang. [00:28:20] Speaker C: She gotta start smoking weed to only throw up three times a day. Oh, she's feeding me broth. [00:28:26] Speaker B: I know people like that. [00:28:26] Speaker C: I can't eat. [00:28:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:27] Speaker C: I can't eat food. But once this happens, you gotta eat broth for, like, right? [00:28:31] Speaker A: Because you got inflamed stomach. [00:28:33] Speaker C: Oh, man. Yes, man. You gotta eat broth. Because I can't eat no food, period. I can't even eat cereal. Nothing. [00:28:38] Speaker A: See, I know somebody who has that same kind of situation with weed, though. So every time they smoke, they're debilitated for, like, weeks. Like, really healed over can. And once they got better, they were like, okay, I'm better now. I can smoke weedy. And they did it again and do it again and got up, and so now they can't smoke down. [00:28:53] Speaker B: I know someone, like, old girl who had to smoke during. At least she claimed. I don't know the science behind this, but she had to smoke during her pregnancy so that she could eat. Because you got to feed the baby while you're pregnant, throwing everything up. And the only thing that's, you know, settling is. I've seen that happen. [00:29:08] Speaker A: Yeah, there is, like, a medical thing. I'm not a doctor, so we ain't gonna make no claims, right? Please don't. [00:29:14] Speaker C: Listen, I'm nervous, but I that nervous. Virgo. Sagittarius. [00:29:20] Speaker B: You're right. [00:29:21] Speaker C: How'd you know? Cause I'm a Virgo, for one. And don't do that. [00:29:25] Speaker B: Don't do us like that. We already vibing. [00:29:28] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? The vibe. The vibe is real. The vibe is real. But Sagittarius, one of my best punishers is Sagittarius. So we back in the game. [00:29:34] Speaker A: Everybody loves us. [00:29:35] Speaker C: Come on, now. [00:29:37] Speaker A: But you're a September Virgo. What are you? [00:29:39] Speaker C: September 5th. [00:29:40] Speaker A: Okay, so I can rock to the September Virgos. Them August Virgos. [00:29:44] Speaker B: Yeah, August Virgos. [00:29:45] Speaker C: Yeah, they different. They different. You feel me? Cool. Different. [00:29:52] Speaker A: Ain't no trauma or triggers there. Okay, so you mentioned. Okay, so that was your oldest child or your youngest child. Currently Nas, you have two is. [00:30:01] Speaker C: It's Burgo. [00:30:02] Speaker A: The One that you're talking about with the. The unplanned pregnancy. [00:30:05] Speaker C: Yeah, that's Nas, the newest one. [00:30:07] Speaker A: The newest one. So the five year old. Okay, okay. But you do have a 24 year old, right? Oh, okay. [00:30:12] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:30:13] Speaker A: Was that also. She playing that she planned it. Okay, got it, got it. [00:30:20] Speaker C: And she. She was a nurse, so she knew exactly what day and all that. And I tried to back out last minute and she jumped. [00:30:26] Speaker B: Wait, hold on, wait. [00:30:29] Speaker A: When you say you tried to back out. We tried to pull out. Or you had to back out? Ain't no backing out of that. She was like. [00:30:37] Speaker B: She's like. Remember you sterilized it. [00:30:42] Speaker C: Straight up. Yeah. [00:30:44] Speaker A: Hold on. I gotta go back to this. The sterilization thought was five years ago. [00:30:52] Speaker C: I'mma tell you something. I'm lucky I told you. I'm an old man now. You feel me? I'm an old man. [00:30:58] Speaker B: But five years ago. I'm going to need you to know better. [00:31:00] Speaker A: No, I thought this was. That's why I thought this was the first kid, cuz I thought it makes sense. You were young and dumb. [00:31:05] Speaker B: He was young. [00:31:06] Speaker A: You was our age, bro. [00:31:08] Speaker C: What, man? We don't. We don't. We don't. I'm gonna tell y' all, the best time to get a man really is around, like 40. To me, it's really about 45. Cause that's when we really start understanding, you know, life. [00:31:21] Speaker B: We're ready not to 45. [00:31:22] Speaker C: Huh? I mean, we're saying life. [00:31:23] Speaker A: We get all that. [00:31:25] Speaker C: You see young men and all that. But no, but as far as the women, we are not ready until we're like in our 40s. [00:31:30] Speaker A: Okay? [00:31:31] Speaker B: So there's still hope because I'm now in that bracket. [00:31:34] Speaker A: Except for them men then want kids and stuff, and then we over here with our geriatric pregnancies. [00:31:38] Speaker B: Listen, I told them nobody gonna get these. Eg, we can go adopt some. [00:31:42] Speaker A: She said she likes them scrambled, not fertilized, man. [00:31:45] Speaker C: I've seen it. I've seen it. I've seen it. [00:31:47] Speaker B: Nobody wants these old ass eggs but one person, okay? Just one. And they ain't getting no old ass. I'm not producing no old, old babies. [00:31:56] Speaker A: Listen, you going to get your redheaded Asian stepchild? [00:31:59] Speaker B: That would be awesome. [00:32:00] Speaker C: That would. [00:32:00] Speaker A: It would be. [00:32:01] Speaker B: Somebody don't want their child. I'll take care of it. I'm just saying that's how adoption work. [00:32:05] Speaker C: That's exactly how it works. [00:32:07] Speaker A: For real, yo, you can't say it. [00:32:09] Speaker B: Like that when someone doesn't want their Kid. That's usually when they put it up for adoption versus putting it up for abortion. [00:32:16] Speaker A: Put it up for abortion, bitch. We gonna chase some kids. [00:32:20] Speaker B: I'll take care of the babies. Nobody won't send them my way. [00:32:24] Speaker A: What's up? [00:32:25] Speaker B: Put em on my tax returns. Cause I need a dependent. I'm making too much to not have a dependent at this point. [00:32:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:32:31] Speaker A: And right now Smokey and Rosie don't count. [00:32:32] Speaker B: Yeah, they don't count. [00:32:33] Speaker C: This drink. I ain't gonna lie. This drink good though. [00:32:35] Speaker A: Listen. Oh you know what we talking about it. Shout out to Nebula 9. You know they. [00:33:43] Speaker C: If you drink about 20, I'm sure you're gonna end up with a hangover. [00:33:45] Speaker A: You want to try? No, no, we got. He said. Did you just hear me say that when I drink too much or eat too much of one thing with that. [00:33:54] Speaker B: Or them peanuts, don't do it to me. [00:33:55] Speaker A: Okay? [00:33:56] Speaker C: Don't do it. Don't do it. [00:33:57] Speaker A: Oh my God. But no, yeah, it is good vodka. And we've been, we've been sipping so we like it. But you mentioned relationships and all those things and we wonder, you know how like how do you never answer the question. [00:34:08] Speaker B: How do you balance circle back to that? [00:34:10] Speaker A: We need to come back to that because we got into some sterilizations. But how do you balance relationships with your massive amounts of work and entrepreneurship? [00:34:19] Speaker C: It's the hardest. It's not easy. My girl was like, I don't pay attention to it for a long time, my ex. And yeah, when you done been through it in the rap game and it ain't nothing to get no pussy, you know what I'm saying? It just ain't. [00:34:35] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? [00:34:36] Speaker C: Like there's some people that just hard, they try hard, they gotta buy it, you know what I mean? And all that. But it just wasn't. Once you in the game for real, for real women, like people doing something like that's pretty awesome as facts. [00:34:46] Speaker A: Ambition is very sexy for a lot of people. Ambition, drive. Yeah, you can get. If you got an idea and a concept of an idea, something, then you gonna get some cool shit. [00:34:55] Speaker B: Ambition is sexy. [00:34:56] Speaker C: I know dudes who ain't got nothing getting coochie. So imagine someone that got that, that know what they're doing. [00:35:00] Speaker A: If they talk a good game, they be like, yeah girl, I'm working on all these projects. They be like, oh yes daddy, some sterilized. Sterilized, Sterilizing. [00:35:09] Speaker C: You know. [00:35:10] Speaker B: Oh man. [00:35:11] Speaker C: But yeah, but no, as far as relationship wise, you know, I'm not really into the relationship cuz I don't been through it all. So now it's just. I gotta be cool. I'm saying we gotta. If we do something together, get this money, but it's gotta be over here. Cause when you're in relationship with somebody, either you doing something major or we gotta come to the light. Like my ex, like we gotta do this together. And I noticed that works. Think about back in the day, way back when we off the land, you feel me? Well, nobody going somewhere else to work. All of us is together. I'm going to kill you. Help me do this. You get the corn right and we're getting busy. [00:35:51] Speaker B: So then would an ideal relationship for you be someone who is as ambitious as you? [00:35:56] Speaker C: Yes, definitely. [00:35:57] Speaker B: Or your support? [00:35:59] Speaker C: Yeah. Or just my support. [00:36:00] Speaker B: Well, because. So what I'm saying is, is she someone that has her own careers, jobs, drive and is in her own lane or is it gonna work better for you that she can kind of make your business run easier, run smoother and. [00:36:14] Speaker C: Be your support if, if that happens though, because you don't know what happens. Like I just told you my situation. I'm. I'm not nobody who's going to run out of my kid. You know, dudes be. The situation I came in would have left been Gone like. Okay, sorry. You know what I'm saying, right? I dropped him off, but figured out. [00:36:32] Speaker A: I thought you were sterilized. [00:36:33] Speaker C: I thought you were sterilized. [00:36:35] Speaker A: Problem. [00:36:36] Speaker B: That's your fault. Why ain't you sterilized? [00:36:37] Speaker C: Why ain't you lying done yours? [00:36:40] Speaker B: I did my part. I wore the condom once. [00:36:41] Speaker C: The first time I wore. Matter of fact, I wore twice. It should have really been straight. You feel me? Should have been super dumb. [00:36:47] Speaker B: Matter fact, that ain't my baby. Whose baby? That's. My baby would be sterile right now. [00:36:54] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying? So. [00:36:56] Speaker A: Oh my God. [00:36:57] Speaker B: All right, I'm. [00:36:58] Speaker A: That is great. [00:36:59] Speaker C: But. But yeah, it just. Yeah, I forgot. [00:37:04] Speaker A: No, it's okay. [00:37:04] Speaker C: So you I'm thinking about. [00:37:05] Speaker A: Ideally you would want somebody who is ambitious. And if they're not ambitious in their own lane, you would want somebody who is able to help you with your. [00:37:13] Speaker C: No, no, no. Hold on, let me thank you first. I'm not the best boyfriend at this point. [00:37:17] Speaker A: He said period. I'm. [00:37:20] Speaker B: The fact that he knows that is dope. [00:37:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna keep 100 because ever since I got hurt. Can we. Can we go to that part? Yeah, so that way we can explain you what's going on. So when I got hurt, we had a store on Knife and Gleason. Not Knife and Gleason, knife in Burnside. [00:37:41] Speaker A: Okay? [00:37:42] Speaker C: We getting robbed every day. Not every day, but it seemed like it sicks back to back before we even opened it. Get robbed. And we had the big old grand opening. It was lit, you know what I'm saying? Shout out to my boy, AC Cream, you know what I mean? And yeah, we got it in. We got robbed before the opening, so then had to postpone it from November 21st to December. Yeah, December. And then we was on from there. And then we got robbed again. [00:38:13] Speaker A: Damn. [00:38:14] Speaker C: Then got robbed again. Kicked in, broke windows. They two thousand dollar windows now. [00:38:19] Speaker A: Geez. [00:38:20] Speaker B: This is your store? Store. [00:38:22] Speaker C: Your store. Yeah. [00:38:25] Speaker A: Were they taking merchandise or money or so equipment? Like what was happening? [00:38:29] Speaker C: No, ain't no money. We didn't let nobody no money. [00:38:31] Speaker A: Took that every night. [00:38:34] Speaker C: But they stole laptops, they stole clothes. And then one time they stole. Let me get up here. They stole my. My new. My new. My new hoodies I just brought out. Right, but no, but hold on. They only stole small, medium and large. [00:38:53] Speaker A: And I was like, how are you being intentional when you steal some? Like, I can only because. [00:38:57] Speaker C: Because they reselling it. [00:38:59] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:39:00] Speaker C: And that's what made me know. Then I got happy I'm like, damn. [00:39:04] Speaker A: My stuff is out there. [00:39:05] Speaker B: Somebody want it. [00:39:06] Speaker C: Somebody, you know. [00:39:07] Speaker A: He was like, I'm gonna run this insurance level. [00:39:09] Speaker C: If you steal my reseller, that means people really want it. [00:39:12] Speaker B: I'm being boosted. This is a come up. [00:39:13] Speaker C: This is fire. [00:39:14] Speaker B: You feel me? [00:39:15] Speaker C: So. But yeah, but then I was like, nah. But then they, you know, then one time they came in. So Chuck, hey, they come in one time, don't take nothing. Snatch the pants off the. The mannequins. You know what I'm saying? Snatch them down. Like, I'm like, y' all trying to smash the mannequins. And then like, what's going on here? And then like. And then there was a bottle of Curve, which I don't know who be. I'm not knocking nobody who still rock the Curve. [00:39:40] Speaker B: Since the early 90s. [00:39:41] Speaker C: Since the early 90s. [00:39:42] Speaker A: We started first wearing cologne and perfume. [00:39:46] Speaker C: Okay, I'm glad y' Hey, I ain't say that till y' all still rocking Curve. You feel me? They said that. But. But yeah, it was back in the 90s, though. It was good. I liked it. But anyway, it was on there, and I'm just like, curve. And then. And then there was something else. So we called the police. I'm like, well, we got some stuff in there. Ain't ours. Y' all can do the. You know what I mean? The fingerprints. They like, nah, we don't do fingerprints unless someone got killed to do an armed robbery. I'm like, whoa, wait a minute. This is a robbery bank. I mean, this. So what if it ain't no killing, right? And this is when the. The police is defunded. [00:40:19] Speaker A: Oh, they like, we ain't got time for this. Right? [00:40:21] Speaker B: I got a lot of things to do. [00:40:22] Speaker C: Yeah, but no, you don't come in here. [00:40:25] Speaker A: He said, no, you don't. [00:40:26] Speaker B: That's what they saying. [00:40:27] Speaker C: That's what they saying. But I'm like, no, you don't. This is an easy one. It's an easy one because you'll get the fingerprints. [00:40:33] Speaker A: Right, Right. They. They literally left their mark. [00:40:36] Speaker C: And they were like, nah. Right? Literally. [00:40:38] Speaker A: Give me some scotch tape. [00:40:39] Speaker B: I'll pick it up myself. [00:40:40] Speaker A: You know what I'm saying? Run these. [00:40:42] Speaker C: And I ain't gonna lie. What I was thinking about, I was trying to figure out how I can get myself transfer. [00:40:46] Speaker A: We like, I'm doing an employee background check. I just need to run these fingerprints for the background check. [00:40:52] Speaker C: But. But yeah. So after that, and then we was in. In Houston doing a popup. We had like, 10 spots we went to for the cigar. Cigar joint, you know? I mean, so shout out. Shout out to my people out there. Did that for this Dante. Dante's people out there. You know what I'm saying? So we go out there for that, and then the last day, get a call from AC Queen talking about they rob us again. And he's snatching. He's snatching the dude. He's snatching the dude out the thing. And he's smoking heron while he's staying. See? Chocolate dope stuff all up in there. Jackets and stuff. And he's pulling them out, and he's still getting high as he's pulling them out. [00:41:34] Speaker A: Wait, with heroin? [00:41:36] Speaker C: Yes. [00:41:36] Speaker A: Wait, so he had a needle? [00:41:38] Speaker C: No, no, he went on the needle. He was smoking it. [00:41:39] Speaker A: Oh, oh, okay. Like, that's how I don't. [00:41:41] Speaker C: You know, still. You don't need to be smoking. [00:41:43] Speaker A: There's a spoon in the bathroom somewhere waiting for some chocolate dope merchandise to come through. You know what I'm saying? [00:41:49] Speaker B: With a spoon in the head. [00:41:50] Speaker C: Right? Like, come on. This is crazy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:41:53] Speaker A: So, you know, you think it was the same person doing it every single time? Oh, wow. [00:41:57] Speaker C: So we don't know if it was hot. [00:41:59] Speaker B: You guys aren't in that location no more, right? [00:42:00] Speaker C: Most definitely not. [00:42:03] Speaker A: I'm sure the insurance was like, we are not refunding you. Shit. [00:42:06] Speaker C: You see how y' all understood that, by the way? A lot of people just didn't. It was on somewhere else. Like, I'm doing it on purpose. First of all, we just open. Why would I do it on purpose? [00:42:14] Speaker A: Right? [00:42:15] Speaker C: I ain't been out here for five. Literally. [00:42:16] Speaker A: Trying to make some money. [00:42:17] Speaker C: Trying to make some money. I ain't been out here for five, six years. I'm like, man, we got. We got to hit a lick. Let's go on. Go settle on fire. You know what I'm saying? Like, nah, this is the beginning. Before, like, before we even open. And then boom, boom, boom. So five times. [00:42:29] Speaker A: Wow. [00:42:29] Speaker C: So we like, bro, we're gonna shut it down. [00:42:31] Speaker A: And that's a testament to how the city has kind of transitioned. [00:42:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:42:34] Speaker A: From our beautiful green. [00:42:35] Speaker C: It was. It was right after me. Not gonna say right after, but it was the. The. The riots and, you know, I mean, but it wasn't. [00:42:43] Speaker A: That makes sense. [00:42:43] Speaker C: It wasn't right after, but it still wasn't long enough. [00:42:45] Speaker A: There was a lot of people that moved into the town that are not from here and also not contributing to the economy. Nicely say it nicely. But, yeah, yeah. [00:42:55] Speaker C: So. So after that, I would say I didn't know I didn't notice it before, but my. My head was messed up as far as. Not that part because I. I made more money before it even store. [00:43:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:43:08] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I was out here moving and grooving. You know what I'm saying? It was a lot of money in. We were hustling as far with the clothes. You gotta think everybody. We was in with Marquis. I was. I was by Marquis Gourmet brothers. [00:43:21] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:43:23] Speaker C: Shout out Marquis. And we was there the whole time coping. Oh, I'm allowed to go out because I gotta. I got the car, the weed car. But the Asian dude let me come in there, which I couldn't believe he did. But he. But he's like, I get this money, so if you want to pay this once a month, let me just get it. [00:43:38] Speaker A: They about their money. [00:43:39] Speaker C: You feel me? [00:43:40] Speaker A: So. [00:43:40] Speaker C: So it was weed, alcohol and food that you going to be outside for. [00:43:50] Speaker A: Marquis gonna be like, bro, why you telling my business? He gonna be like, bleep that out. I'm still trying to cater your damn editing button. So he said, order that extra. That special greens, you know what I'm saying? With the special sauce, you know what I'm saying? For delivery. [00:44:06] Speaker B: Oh, Lord. [00:44:07] Speaker C: So y' all know right there. Was it MLK and Lombard, that spot. [00:44:13] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:44:13] Speaker C: Spot right there. Yeah, we was all up in there. [00:44:16] Speaker A: Okay, but I'm in there by the Taco Bell. [00:44:19] Speaker B: Over there by the yam yams. [00:44:20] Speaker A: Yeah. Shout out to yam yams if you don't know about yam yams, man, I. [00:44:27] Speaker C: Was eating a whole lot of that. Nah, for real. So we in there getting it cracking and I was kind of like. It was dope because we was outside, but it was hot. I remember. 110. [00:44:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:44:40] Speaker C: You know what I mean? But we was out there, though, you know, I mean, getting, getting to it. And that's what got things started, like, real heavy. A lot of people knowing who chuckled up was and all that. [00:44:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I think I did see you out there, cuz. You had the spot underneath the tent. [00:44:51] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:44:51] Speaker A: Yep, yep. Show. Did I seen tip before I even knew you. [00:44:55] Speaker B: Okay, listen, I haven't seen it, but I wish I. I wish I did. [00:44:58] Speaker A: Yeah, well, you're in Virginia, so, you know, I'll see it though. You see it now. [00:45:02] Speaker C: You got. You got a lot for the say. [00:45:04] Speaker B: You got it wearing this around my city out there and people like where you get fabulous. [00:45:08] Speaker A: I do. I ain't going to lie. I love when I come to visit you and I be, I be wearing my local brands because don't nobody got it. They be my. [00:45:16] Speaker B: I try to tell folks, give me your merch. [00:45:17] Speaker A: I'll. [00:45:18] Speaker B: I'll get the word out over there. [00:45:19] Speaker A: Listen, nudge, nudge, you know what I'm saying? [00:45:22] Speaker C: Send me something. Cuz ain't nobody wearing in Virginia. I'm like, oh, yeah, now there is part of Virginia. [00:45:27] Speaker B: Is she in? [00:45:27] Speaker C: I can't remember. [00:45:28] Speaker B: Okay, well, I'm over there in the DMV area, so I'll. [00:45:32] Speaker C: The dmv? [00:45:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll touch the DMV area. The V in dmv. [00:45:36] Speaker B: Right. Well, I, I'll touc, Maryland, dc, Virginia. [00:45:39] Speaker A: So I got you without telling everybody exactly where she lives. [00:45:42] Speaker C: Right, right. Facts. [00:45:45] Speaker B: You don't need to know that I've been northern. [00:45:48] Speaker A: Oh my goodness. Okay, so what are the top four qualities you look for in a person that you would want to date or. Well, you're not dating, but if I. [00:45:55] Speaker C: Want, if I wanted to. [00:45:56] Speaker A: If you wanted to date or sterilize, whatever. [00:45:59] Speaker B: Not one or the other, you know, you dating or you sterilizing, you ain't doing both. [00:46:04] Speaker C: Okay. The number one, they got to have a fat ass. I like, you know what I'm saying? [00:46:07] Speaker A: But I'm just saying, he said, I know what quality, I know what I want. [00:46:12] Speaker C: I don't care. I don't care if you got no ass today. But we can go handle the business, go to Miami. We go and get this bbl. [00:46:20] Speaker B: Go get it figured out. [00:46:21] Speaker C: Hey, man, y' all can get what y' all need. That's the thing about women. Y' all can get what y' all want. You know what I mean? Go handle that. Get that bbl. Get that ass number one. [00:46:29] Speaker A: Get a fat ass. [00:46:29] Speaker C: Get fat ass. [00:46:30] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:46:30] Speaker C: Okay, you know, I mean, then I like a intelligent, real smart girl, you feel me? [00:46:35] Speaker A: It comes after that, after that, fatty gotta be smart. And there's that, you know, you gotta. You see with your eyes first. So it makes. [00:46:43] Speaker C: Right, right. We visual. Men are visual. You know what I mean? So, you know, and then you got to be ambitious, you know, like with the, you know, I mean, I'm on the entrepreneur type side, so you're not saying I'm perfect because I'm not. But you know, saying you gotta have that. It ain't just about, you know, working for somebody and this and that and, and family. Real family orientated, okay, Is what I like. You know what I'm saying? I've been There where it's not and it's sad. You know what I'm saying? [00:47:10] Speaker A: No, that makes sense. So if you were trying to get sterilized by a Reggie Taco dope, you gotta have a fat ass, gotta be smart, gotta be ambitious, and you gotta be about your family even though you're sterilized. [00:47:20] Speaker B: Well, listen, I'm currently single and I. [00:47:22] Speaker A: Meet those qualifications, I'm sterilized. [00:47:27] Speaker C: Is she sterile? [00:47:29] Speaker B: Well, maybe after the first time, I might be. We'll find out. [00:47:34] Speaker A: I swear to God, I cannot find out. That is funny. Lord, what is the craziest thing you've ever done for love or perceived love? [00:47:46] Speaker C: Right, right. [00:47:47] Speaker A: He's like, I ain't never been in love. [00:47:50] Speaker B: Money. [00:47:51] Speaker C: Yeah, really, it was. I ain't never did nothing too crazy as far as me. I just wasn't. I'm. Wasn't the best boyfriend type shit. You feel me? Because I. I'm just not. I, you know, saying I just was. I don't know. I can't really explain. I've always been. I could be a good boyfriend when I tell you the truth. My first one, I lied a lot. My bags are out in front of the house all the time. You feel me? [00:48:18] Speaker A: She didn't put a chocolate dope outside. [00:48:20] Speaker C: Bright ass, blue bags and everybody can see them. [00:48:23] Speaker B: IKEA plastic bags. [00:48:24] Speaker C: Oh my God. On purpose. On purpose. [00:48:29] Speaker B: They hold a lot. [00:48:30] Speaker A: They do. And they sturdy and I had a lot. [00:48:32] Speaker C: You know, we owned the house back then, so it's like a whole lot of stuff. I'm just like, oh. [00:48:38] Speaker A: Okay. But that is. That's crazy because I hear that a lot where like, guys are like, well, I tell you the truth, so that makes me a good guy. But does it just make you a truthful bad guy or. [00:48:46] Speaker C: No, no, hold on, hold on. So after that I said I stopped lying to women. So after that, you used to keep 100 and I got like five or six shits to mess with. And you got to deal with that or leave me alone or. [00:48:58] Speaker B: I mean, this is what I was talking about, about toxic honesty though, that part. [00:49:05] Speaker A: Because just cause it's honest doesn't make it good. [00:49:08] Speaker B: Doesn't mean that it's like healthy for. [00:49:10] Speaker C: No, let me explain that to you then, okay? Since you, since you accepted it, then who's toxic? Me or you? [00:49:15] Speaker A: That's very true. [00:49:16] Speaker B: If they do accept it, I mean, that is on them. [00:49:18] Speaker A: Yeah, that's. That's the fact. [00:49:19] Speaker C: That's the whole point of me telling you the truth. You have look, look, shorty I got. I got a little baby over there, and she do this for me. And I got sh. Know, you know, she's strip, she stripping, she get down. You know what I'm saying? But her girl, she work at the DMV to make sure we all good. You know what I'm saying? Make sure we don't. And. Yeah. [00:49:37] Speaker B: Make sure. Everybody make sure we. Make sure your ID is the real id, right? Everybody has a real id. [00:49:41] Speaker A: Listen, I got a funny ass DMV story. So I used to work at the men's warehouse at Lloyd center back in the day. And the DMV was across. And we used to always know, like, when people go in for their appointments, they would run their information to the DMV system. And if the person was like, oh, have a seat, we'll be right with you, it meant that you got flagged and they were going to get somebody. So we would be at the little gate watching, and we would see people get flagged. We'd be like, run. [00:50:03] Speaker C: Oh, they're getting. [00:50:04] Speaker B: They're calling the police. [00:50:07] Speaker A: And we would see people running out the store. They would be hopping over the little benches that were outside. Wait, where was this? [00:50:12] Speaker B: I know there was a DMV in the Lloyd Center. [00:50:14] Speaker A: Yeah, so men's warehouse was right across the dmv. And yeah, you know, I used to. I used to dress men for a living. Okay. [00:50:21] Speaker B: That's what they were doing when they asked you to have a seat. You haven't been in that situation. [00:50:24] Speaker C: That's crazy. I learned. [00:50:25] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we. We would be watching stuff. Like, we. [00:50:28] Speaker C: How much time we got? [00:50:29] Speaker A: Oh, we good. We got about, you know, Let me tell y' all. He was like, I got one more story. Go ahead, boo. You got this. [00:50:34] Speaker C: Let me tell y' all. I know y' all want to get to y' all questions, but let me tell y' all how the clothing line in general came out. Yeah, I'm in prison. My first time in prison, right? [00:50:45] Speaker A: Every story starts good when it's in prison the first time. [00:50:50] Speaker C: And I noticed the clothes was like the jeans with Levi's and, like, leaves, and the shirts were bogus. And I was just like, now we. [00:51:00] Speaker B: Need to step the fashion up. [00:51:01] Speaker C: And prison, they need to step the fashion up. And I just was telling everybody, like. [00:51:05] Speaker B: Take that orange patch off. They kn. [00:51:07] Speaker C: Come on, man. [00:51:08] Speaker A: Like this chocolate dope is the new black. Okay. [00:51:10] Speaker C: Right. [00:51:10] Speaker A: You know? You feel me? [00:51:11] Speaker C: So I was like, my. My nickname P. Nice. [00:51:16] Speaker B: P. Nice. [00:51:17] Speaker C: Yeah. So. So everybody in there calling all Peanuts stuff and I was like, man, you know what? I'm going to come out with a clothing line with the pe. Excuse me, with the P on it right now. I'm thinking. I didn't notice this until later. The whole prison. You know what I'm saying? Not the whole prison, but, you know, most. Most of the brothers. [00:51:37] Speaker A: D block. [00:51:38] Speaker C: Well, no, no, no. No more than that. No. D block, E block, W block. They coming up on me talking about, oh, yeah, what's up with you, Youngin? I see you, bro. Yeah, but I'm gonna need some of that. Some of that gear. That P gear, bro. I'm gonna need that. [00:51:50] Speaker A: Aw. [00:51:51] Speaker C: I'm telling people. And it got to the point where everybody is visualizing my shirt with the peon and all that, right? [00:51:58] Speaker A: Oh, that's. That's cool. [00:51:59] Speaker C: So I get out. My first shirt was P. Nice big old pee with nice incursive right here. And that's where it came from. [00:52:09] Speaker A: Oh, that's dope. [00:52:10] Speaker B: Interesting. [00:52:11] Speaker C: Even though. No, but listen. Now, nobody told me that it was illegal. Not just legal. No way possible was I ever gonna be able to be a criminal and sell my own clothes to the prison. [00:52:23] Speaker B: But why not? [00:52:24] Speaker C: Cause that's why not. [00:52:26] Speaker B: I mean. No, but I'm saying, like, because usually, obviously, there's a standard for what they can wear. [00:52:32] Speaker C: But they wouldn't even do that, though. Like, it's a rap. They already have. They're plugged in. I don't know why I can't think of the name. Cause it was on Fond du Lac in Milwaukee. It's on Fond du Lac. The name of who they're getting their stuff from. But it would never be a criminal. This is a. This is a problem. [00:52:46] Speaker A: Oh, so you're saying that you could sell stuff as long as you didn't have a criminal background? [00:52:50] Speaker C: Right. [00:52:51] Speaker A: Got you. [00:52:51] Speaker C: Okay, if. Well, hold on, hold on. No, hold on. It would have to be at Nike, something like that, because that's who they. [00:52:58] Speaker A: Have their contract with, right? [00:53:01] Speaker C: Ain't no getting. No. [00:53:04] Speaker B: If it's Levi, who they get all their jeans from, or if it's New Balance, they get all their sneakers or. [00:53:08] Speaker C: You see what I'm saying? [00:53:09] Speaker B: Champion. The sweatshirt, it. [00:53:11] Speaker C: Yeah, ain't no. Ain't no. [00:53:12] Speaker A: Definitely ain't no penis happening. [00:53:14] Speaker C: None of that. [00:53:14] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:53:15] Speaker C: But nobody. [00:53:16] Speaker B: Nobody said, listen, if they were smart, though, because some of these smaller brands that are trying to come up will probably be able to produce a better deal. [00:53:26] Speaker A: Is that the right branding, though? You want to be like. [00:53:28] Speaker C: I mean, in prison. No. [00:53:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:31] Speaker B: It still could be its own inspiration story. I mean, a lot of these men are looking to reform. They're looking to come out a better place person. And it's like this person, he has a whole brand. He's no longer about that life. This may be where he started, but look at the money he's got. [00:53:52] Speaker C: They're not trying to happen. [00:53:55] Speaker B: Of course they do. But it would sound good. Like if they're looking for ways to talk it off. There you go. [00:54:00] Speaker A: Did the guys come out and get shirts from you if anybody else got out? [00:54:04] Speaker C: I mean, you don't run into people all the time. I ran into a couple people. I wasn't even on that. This is years later. [00:54:08] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Gotcha. [00:54:09] Speaker C: I didn't get into that until after the rap game. [00:54:11] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Gotcha. [00:54:12] Speaker C: The rap game. We come up with stuff, but it's like I said, it's merch. But yeah, it wasn't known and then I knew I was on that from this where I came from. [00:54:21] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:54:21] Speaker C: You feel what I'm saying? [00:54:22] Speaker A: That's a good story, though. That's a good, like. So from the very first thing, what you did was P. Nice. Then it was rdd. [00:54:29] Speaker C: RDD Collection. [00:54:30] Speaker A: And then it was chocolate Dover after that. Did you have anything in between? Okay, so you. You need to have like a. Like a whole, like transition logo or something that shows your. Your journey. That would be dope. I would want that shirt. Plus and then have your mug shot on there. [00:54:45] Speaker B: From the first time. [00:54:46] Speaker C: And I got a lot. [00:54:47] Speaker A: And I got a whole lot shout out to Tommy. Remember Tommy from season three? [00:54:51] Speaker B: Yes. [00:54:51] Speaker A: And he had his mug shot shirt. Oh, yo. [00:54:54] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. It was hard for that. [00:54:56] Speaker A: I ain't gonna lie. [00:54:57] Speaker C: I need to do that. That was hard. [00:55:00] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. So with all the things that you've been through in life, and I know that we haven't even tapped really the surface of your story. We might have to have you come back and do some follow up. But if there was, like one thing that you could either do again or do over in life, what would it be and why? [00:55:18] Speaker C: The only thing I still think about is the first store that I had and didn't even open it is when I. When I had Sprint, the cell phones and all that. And I got mad at my brother and I got mad at my boy. Money, because money went right to this store. And my brother just was on some nonsense. So I was doing it by myself. But I could have done it by myself. That was the whole point. And I was just so used to extra fast money, which I didn't need it. [00:55:48] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:55:48] Speaker C: I just. I didn't need it at the time. You know what I'm saying? Like, I was. I really was. I'm getting Louis Vuitton from New York and all that. And so in the bags were like 4, $500. Nobody has them. [00:55:59] Speaker A: Right, right. [00:56:00] Speaker C: And then sprint. I'm linked. I'm locked in. [00:56:02] Speaker A: Oh, you could have had you a whole little bodega. [00:56:04] Speaker C: It was going down like I'd be a millionaire. I'd have been millionaire early. You feel me? [00:56:08] Speaker A: Oh, man. Yeah. [00:56:09] Speaker C: So that's the only thing. I don't regret it. Cause you should never regret nothing. Right. But that's the only thing I think about. I would have done over. You know what I'm saying? And, you know, I don't. I believe in God. So heavy. [00:56:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:56:21] Speaker C: I'm not a religious person. I'm not, you know, in the church. I stopped going to church when I was seven years old because all that jumping around, I knew then I wasn't real. When I was 7, I caught headaches. I said, mom, not. No, I got a headache. This ain't. [00:56:34] Speaker A: He said, I gotta. I can't make it to church this weekend. Can't do my outfits right now because my head hurts. [00:56:38] Speaker C: Yeah. Cause I just know, dude, ain't. That's not real to me, all that. [00:56:41] Speaker B: Tell me what God was talking about when you get home. [00:56:43] Speaker C: Right. So. But yeah, but, yeah, but I believe in God, though. And so I. I tried my best to stand on. This is what God had planned. Even though you make your own decisions and God helps you through along the way. But then some situation with me, I'm just like, I wouldn't have did that. I wouldn't have said that. And I definitely wouldn't have dated that. Why did that happen? And then go that direction. [00:57:09] Speaker A: Right. [00:57:10] Speaker C: And so I think this beguiled, you know, ancestors is kind of doing this. Oh, no, no, no. [00:57:16] Speaker B: You're right back this way. [00:57:17] Speaker C: Come back over here. You know what I'm saying? [00:57:19] Speaker A: Yeah, that makes sense. [00:57:20] Speaker C: And. Yeah. [00:57:21] Speaker A: What advice do you have for someone that's coming up behind you? [00:57:24] Speaker C: Oh, wait, don't do it. [00:57:27] Speaker A: This ain't for the faint of heart. [00:57:29] Speaker C: No, definitely not. But whatever it is you doing nowadays, hit the Internet, whatever it is you love to do, do that shit. And. But do it every day and go hard. You understand? Because if you. I come from basketball. I was supposed to. I mean, I could have went. [00:57:47] Speaker A: This man doesn't say I come from Everything right. Every time, every time he says something, it come from something different. I'd be like, man, cuz I put. [00:57:54] Speaker C: All the way back for you. You know what I'm saying? I was raised by my uncles. [00:57:57] Speaker B: I may have been born in Washington state, but I was also born in Pennsylvania. [00:58:01] Speaker C: So when that happened, y' all didn't finish that. So, like, y' all think so? I'm west coast, born east coast, raised. So I was 10 and then Midwest. Now I'm Midwest. [00:58:12] Speaker B: Well. Cause you were in Florida too, for a minute. [00:58:13] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, for a year. I forgot. So I ain't okay. Yeah. So I got a little bit of shopping. It's funny, when I came back, instead of saying underwear, you know, imagine I'm from New York, so we more proper. And my uncles was making fun of me because I was saying draws. So I was there for a year. So now I'm talking. I got that down south, you feel me? And they. They was on my ass. Like that was funny to them. [00:58:34] Speaker B: Okay, I'm trying to describe it without saying the word. If you have a carbonated drink, what do you call it based on? Cuz you're some from so many places. [00:58:43] Speaker C: Like a soda. [00:58:44] Speaker B: Soda. [00:58:44] Speaker A: Yep. [00:58:45] Speaker B: There we go. [00:58:45] Speaker A: I was going to. [00:58:46] Speaker B: I was wondering if you were going to say pop, cuz that's real West Coast. That's pop. [00:58:50] Speaker C: Soda for me. [00:58:51] Speaker A: Soda. [00:58:51] Speaker B: It's soda for me too. But folks out here, most of them say pop. [00:58:55] Speaker A: Pop. Yeah. And then if you're in Texas, everything is Coke. Everything. [00:59:00] Speaker B: Your Dr. Pepper, your Pepper. That's all you got? [00:59:05] Speaker C: That's crazy. [00:59:05] Speaker A: I love it. Okay, so if people want to find you, where can they find you at? [00:59:10] Speaker C: Find me on. Damn, I can't even think now. [00:59:14] Speaker A: Instagram. [00:59:16] Speaker C: Ig, Chocolate Dope. [00:59:18] Speaker A: Okay. [00:59:19] Speaker C: You know what I mean? Make sure y' all get me on there and then you can catch my P. Nice page P. Nice one on IG. And then tick tock. Is chocolate dope 17? If you didn't know, why the 17? Because we started in 17. Matter of fact, it just passed for 20 years when we started. [00:59:39] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:59:39] Speaker C: So that's the eight years that just passed. [00:59:41] Speaker A: Oh, that's. Congrats. [00:59:44] Speaker C: Okay, you want to hear the story? [00:59:46] Speaker A: Like the hit. Here you go. [00:59:48] Speaker C: Here you go. [00:59:49] Speaker B: Back when I lived in Alabama, so. [00:59:52] Speaker C: I went to Colorado first left Milwaukee. [00:59:54] Speaker B: I told you. [00:59:56] Speaker C: I'm just telling y' all the story, man. [00:59:58] Speaker B: I was gonna start in a different state. [01:00:00] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. [01:00:01] Speaker B: I get busy all 50. Look, you need at least 50 stories. [01:00:04] Speaker C: Oh, man. [01:00:05] Speaker A: I get busy. [01:00:06] Speaker C: So, yeah. Cause y' all remember, I'm not from here. [01:00:08] Speaker A: We know you ain't from here. [01:00:09] Speaker C: And I haven't been on. We don't been on tour. We done been anywhere. You know what I mean? So, you know, I mean, I always end up with some people I mess with. I mess with the city. If I get there, I rock. You know what I'm saying? So the homegirl ends up going out there and she's like, come out there, whatever, right? I'm like, okay, we gonna get busy. So me and my man drive out there from Milwaukee. And on 4, 20, we got the shirts, got everything. Two Chains is performing, okay? For free. And it's gonna go down. [01:00:45] Speaker A: Oh, man. [01:00:46] Speaker C: So we know we finna get this stuff off my first time, you know what I mean? We get up, it's raining, it's cold in the bitch. Also, we find out two chains ain't performing. [01:01:00] Speaker A: Oh, no. [01:01:01] Speaker C: Nobody buys. Not one fit, not one hoodie. Johnny Ratchet, rest in peace, my nigga. But he's gives one away to a chick that's going to buy it. [01:01:15] Speaker B: I'm like, bro, we had a chance to make $30. [01:01:19] Speaker C: $30, $40. I'm like, what you doing? [01:01:23] Speaker B: That was gas money home, feel me? [01:01:25] Speaker C: We already like, bro. You know what I mean? But at the end of the day, it's funny. I gave a lot here, obviously, but. But, yeah, that's how it kicked off and that's what made me. And then things just didn't work out the way it's supposed to in Denver. And I love Denver. Shout out to my people's in Denver. Because I really rock with y' all. But I drove my whip here. Cause I had one dude here, you know what I'm saying? But rest in peace, he ended up dying and all that. But he got me here, though. And then his cousin, you know what I'm saying, was here. So I was able to stay with them. So that's basically how I was able to save money. Because I only had to pay rent, like $100, okay? You know what I'm saying? And we all. This little spot was on a. I was on a recliner. And I was like, no, we gonna make this work now. I don't need no bed, you know what I'm saying? I wanna be comfortable. You feel me? So. And hopefully one day I got some stuff, a video of all that. Y' all see it. But shout out to Rodney and Alicia for letting me stay there. You know what I'm saying? And My people. So we. From back at the crib, he came up and so I knew all I had to do was make a phone call. I said, bro, I'm leaving. I'm coming. He's like, I'm bringing my ass. He's like, come on. [01:02:40] Speaker A: Oh, man. [01:02:41] Speaker C: And so I drove through. Almost died driving through Utah. [01:02:45] Speaker A: He's like, I got a story about that. You want to hear that too? [01:02:47] Speaker C: I don't even want to tell that story. Almost died in the mountains and it was cold as hell. [01:02:51] Speaker A: Oh, God. [01:02:52] Speaker C: But yeah, but I made it here, though, from Denver, and that was the reason why we left, man. Crazy after that. And this is what's going on. [01:03:00] Speaker A: Eight years strong. I love it. Okay, so on IG TikTok all those things. And what's your website? [01:03:05] Speaker C: Website is chocolate dopeapparel.shop. [01:03:09] Speaker A: Okay. [01:03:10] Speaker C: Not doc, not dot com. [01:03:13] Speaker A: And you can find all of this. You've got the Wave is Us going right now. You've got. [01:03:16] Speaker C: Okay, the Wave is Us. Okay, so the Wave is Us is a series. [01:03:20] Speaker A: Okay. [01:03:20] Speaker C: That's. It's been going on for a while. [01:03:22] Speaker A: Okay. [01:03:22] Speaker C: You know what I mean? So it's not like. But really, the alter ego. The alter ego is dope sells itself. [01:03:29] Speaker A: Gotcha. Dope sells it. It does. It does, unfortunately, in real life. But no, check out the website because you can get this stuff, you can get all the other. Because you've got several iterations of logos and designs and all kinds of things, and they are really freaking amazing. I love them. [01:03:49] Speaker C: They. [01:03:49] Speaker A: But Nick B, where can they find you at? [01:03:51] Speaker B: So I can be found on all platforms of dirtyroses.com may that be our Facebook, our Instagram, our Twitter. We don't have Twitter. We have TikTok. There we go. [01:04:00] Speaker A: We got all the things. [01:04:00] Speaker B: We got all the things. But if you want to reach me specifically, I can be found on Instagram @nickbnickb and Ms. Leigh Laree, where can. [01:04:07] Speaker A: We find you, Nick B. Yes, you can find me again. [01:04:48] Speaker A: We. We going to have to. We have to come back and tell. [01:04:50] Speaker B: Your story because they all start in Southern California. [01:04:53] Speaker A: Going the next one, listen, there's going to be a girl in 50 states. [01:04:57] Speaker C: When I was in Alaska, you know what I'm saying? [01:04:59] Speaker B: I liked her Eskimo kisses. [01:05:01] Speaker A: We was doing these Eskimo kisses, you know what I'm saying? There was Caraboulu out there. [01:05:04] Speaker C: I went and got my teeth in Columbus, you know what I'm saying? I had a girl out there, you feel me? So, yeah, I was staying with my homeboy, you know what I'm saying, instead of getting a hotel. And it was crazy out there, but you know what I'm saying? But you know, Columbia women. Shout out to my Colombian women, though. I got some pictures with y' all and you know what I'm saying? We got a name. But. But yeah. [01:05:22] Speaker A: Oh my God. [01:05:23] Speaker B: These are the after credits comedy. [01:05:25] Speaker A: I swear to God. [01:05:26] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, shout out. But I gotta give y' all a shout out to Portland though, because on some real Portland, I come from a different background, you know I'm saying? Type, you know what I'm saying? This in trouble a lot. And business wise, Portland, especially the black community really helped me how to be business, you know what I'm saying? Showed me a lot. Like, even like black man story. Not a major story, but Black Mannequin and Dave, they had. It was. The rain is out of control here. [01:05:57] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. [01:05:58] Speaker C: So there's a pop up going on. So off top, I'm like, shit, ain't nothing happening. I'm like, it's raining. So I called Black Mannequin. He's like, he's like, what you doing? He's like, we here. Come on. What you doing? I said, what? So I'm thinking I could call Dave. [01:06:15] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:06:16] Speaker C: And Dave was like, I'm here. You better. Come on, you finna miss out. I made four. I made four, like 50 that day. [01:06:23] Speaker A: Oh, wow. Okay. [01:06:25] Speaker C: I said in the rain. [01:06:26] Speaker B: Rain won't stop. [01:06:26] Speaker C: Nothing in Portland is different. Y' all don't care. And I don't really do the. Y' all really don't do umbrellas. Umbrellas. [01:06:33] Speaker B: You're a punk if you do an umbrella. [01:06:35] Speaker C: That's exactly how y' all act. And I ain't never seen that. [01:06:38] Speaker B: If it rained, like, oh, she's not from here, right? [01:06:41] Speaker C: I'm just like that part. Use umbrellas out here like it's raining like a mud. And y' all just walking like it's no big deal. [01:06:48] Speaker B: Sandals on, right? [01:06:50] Speaker A: Definitely. Sandals in the rain. [01:06:51] Speaker C: I'm mad like your hamburgers got rain all in the hamburger. And y' all don't. Y' all just eat. [01:06:56] Speaker B: Your buns are soggy, baby. [01:06:57] Speaker C: Your buns are soggy. You ain't notice your bun was soggy. Oh, y' all like it when it gets soggy. Okay, okay, I understand now because all the juice and everything is all up in there now. The burger tastes better. The juices and all that. I get it. Okay. I'll figure it out, though. But yeah, we, you know, I'm saying shout out to Portugal. I love y' all, man, for real. And I love y' all, too, for having me on the show. [01:07:16] Speaker A: For real, for real. So much. We appreciate you. We'll catch y' all later, all right?
